Privacy notice

What I collect, why, who sees it, and your rights. Last updated 16 October 2026.

Who I am

I'm Aiden Keane, a DVSA approved driving instructor, trading as Keane2Learn. I'm the "controller" of the personal information described here, which means I decide how and why it's used. For any privacy question, email hello@keane2learn.uk or call 07940 248369.

What I collect

If you send a message through the website contact form: your name, phone number, email address, postcode and the message you write.

If you create a pupil account and take lessons:

Photos: I only publish a photo of you on this website, or on Instagram, if you (or a parent or guardian, if you're under 18) have agreed. You can change your mind at any time and I'll remove it.

I don't collect your driving licence number, bank details or card details through this website. You pay me directly by cash or bank transfer, and I keep a record of payments received.

Why I use it, and my legal basis

I don't sell your information, and I don't use it for automated decisions or profiling. I'll only send you messages about your lessons, your account, or something you asked about. I won't send marketing without asking you first.

Who else handles your information

I use a small number of services to run the site. They process information on my instructions and aren't allowed to use it for their own purposes, other than as described in their own notices:

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they rely on approved safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or an adequacy decision. I may also share information if the law requires it, for example with the police or the DVSA.

Cookies and similar storage

The pupil app keeps you logged in by storing a sign-in token in your browser. That's strictly necessary for the app to work. I don't use advertising or analytics cookies.

How long I keep it

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask me to:

Email hello@keane2learn.uk and I'll reply within one month. If you're not happy with how I've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. I'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.

Under 18s

Pupils aged 16 and 17 can use the app. If you're under 18, a parent or guardian is welcome to contact me about your information at any time, and I'll ask them to agree to any public use of your photo.

Changes

If I change how I use your information, I'll update this page and the date at the top.
